I’ve used Got Sketch‘s Sketch 75 by Valerie Salmon. Not much of my own alteration. I just copied straight from the template since I thought the sketch done by Valerie was just perfect. She seriously has the loveliest sketches, IMO.

‘Pure uncertainty’ was how I felt in placing this title. Especially with the second word. I had initially wanted to place it in a straight line, but with the constraints of space, I decided to just jumble it up a bit. And those small rectangular pieces of sponge were leftover from my Mum’s sewing kit. *giggles*

As for those paper flowers, they’re actually the leftovers I had left from my Cricut creations that I did with the SVGCut‘s flower kit.

A fan-made poem by LadyLilyMalfoy called ‘Do you think I don’t remember?‘ It’s obviously just a part of her whole write-up.

That bird cage is a metal piece by Prima. For those of you who are familiar with their pieces will know that they come in white. I only coloured it with green chalk ink to go with the whole colour theme. Also I thought the bird cage thing is a rather significant to Malfoy.

A quote by Pliny the Elder. Also if you notice, I used the same patterned paper that I’d used for my paper flowers. Too many leftovers, but I just do not have the heart to throw them away.

I’ve used Scrapbooks Etc‘s Sketch 358. I’d actually contemplated if I wanted to use all out black and white pictures, but I thought it’s better to have a mix-up.

That flower arrangement was quite a task. I wasn’t sure as to how and what to arrange them with. I’d initially wanted to use 5 different flowers, but eventually ended up with a big ribbon in the middle; in which I completed with a button from my mother’s stock.

It’s probably a mistake edging the layer cardstock with black chalk. I guess I should have just left it untouched. Anyways, I wrote the journaling section using a gold pen by Kuretake… I know, I’m not the best of writers. My handwriting sucks!

One thing that made me happy is the fact that my hand just landed on the most perfect 12″ by 12″ paper for the backing. The colour stripes were just spot-on for the whole theme as the uniforms of the students of Elite School in this TV series are exactly of those colours, albeit checkered.

Those white dots are actually dried blotted liquid from my correction pen. That was actually my feeble attempt at covering the ugly glue shadow from the blue ribbon I pasted on the side. I’ve also pasted a punched heart; as per the original sketch.

Merlin knows how much time it took for me to think up of a title for the whole page. And as you can see, my thinking didn’t do wonders for me. And oh! You might spot my lazy and quick cloning on the main picture. I’ve also cut out a cardboard to form that bracket; of course not before I coloured it out with a black marker.

The journaling section is part of a poem by Jillian Baker, entitled ‘And I’m The Girl‘. I wrote it entirely with a white ballpoint pen by Pilot.

Yes, probably the most problematic part of the whole page. I’d actually mistakenly used a glossy black paper and then decorated it with chalk ink for my clear-stamping. So understandably, even if I put it out in the open for years, the stuff would just not dry up… Guh! How stupid of me!!  But oh well… I might change it using matte paper some time later.

The chained words of ‘friends’ were inspired by Luna Lovegood. *winks* I’ve also used flower brads to fill the void.  I guess they’d look better had they been a bit smaller. Also, I’ve used punched butterflies in which I used recycled paper that had black & white pictures on it. Hence it gave the butterflies a bit of a marble effect.

Probably my most favourite part of the page. My attempted “flower arrangement”. *chuckles* Even after clumsily pasting those 3 stalks of red leaves with scotchtape, I think I succeeded in making it look pretty. I bought these flowers from some flower shop my Mum used to go for our home deco. Beside that, I also used a border which I’ve cut using my Cricut some months ago.

I have used a felt shape that came together with an issue of the PaperCrafts magazine. I then cut a white paper that is smaller (and obviously imperfect) version of it. The title ‘Adore You’ is a clear stamp by Technique Tuesday. And oh! A pretty button to fill the void.

Yup, I know. I hate the way I edged the polka patterned paper with my chalk ink. I’m just not good with chalk-inking. *pouts* I’ve actually pasted light yellow paper onto a thick cardboard before cutting it into strips for my journaling section. It’s part of a poem by Ms. JStar entitled, ‘A Woman’s Beauty‘.

I’d used Scrapbooks Etc‘s Sketch 328. These photos were taken two years ago in 2010. The middle one was taken at Marina Bay when the place wasn’t exactly finished and was still under construction. The other two were at Esplanade.

That top border wasn’t supposed to be there in the first place, but I found the whole page to be rather bare hence the eventual decision to place it there. I’ve also used paper butterfly from my favourite butterfly puncher by Ek Success.

I find myself getting a bit addicted with the ‘rumpled edges’ effect. I guess it gives the whole design the authentic scrapbooking feel. Those little pink flowers are actually from my Mum’s plastic vase in which she no longer wants. Hence I plucked off all the little flowers for my keep.

Also, it might not be visible but I did give a bit of a chalk effect on the background to give it a tad bit of dimension; else it would have looked overtly plain.

I used the same sky blue patterned paper to use as the journaling strips. The words were written with a Pilot pink pen.

But I’ve not the slightest idea why problems keep chasing after me. Now my new laptop’s screen is cracked and I still cannot find time to go down to Hewlett Packard to have it replaced. *sighs* Anyways…

I’ve used my own self-printed paper for the photo backing. I inked the edges with brown and black chalk-ink before crumpling them a tad. I’ve also made use of my self-made paper flowers from the same Begonia set I used via the 3D Flowers SVG Kit I got from SVGCuts.

Also my most unimpressive part of the whole page is the small word ‘charm’ there… I used a rub-on and can I just lament on the fact that I’m just not good with these things? Perhaps I don’t have steady hands to deal with rub-ons. They’re always messed-up somehow. And of course I did a mistake by trying to sponge on some brown chalk ink over the area. Seriously, I should have just used normal chalk. *head desk*

Yup. A metal timepiece by Tim Holtz in which I’ve fastened with a brad by American Crafts. I contemplated if I wanted to give it minute/second hands, but meh!

And ooh! Ribbons! Honestly, I think I spent most of my ‘scrapbooking pocket money’ on ribbons compared to the rest of the other embellishments. I just love ribbons.

And if it’s not too visible, I actually used a bit of cream and orange coloured chalk to give the space there a bit of dimension. The backing paper looked a bit too bare, and hence the initiative. The lace here is by Webster’s Pages.

The big piece of blue patterned paper is a self-printed one I did some months ago. That greenish scalloped piece is a Cricut trimmed shape in which I’d topped with a roughly cut foam roll and a paper flower by Sassafras.

The journaling bit is actually a verse from a poem titled, ‘About You‘ by Nicola May Tucker.

I’ve used striped ribbon by PrintRibbon, whilst unfortunately I have no record of that lace’s brand. I’ve also glued pearl beads that my Mum gave me from her unwanted stock.

Anyways, it’s back to Bobby/Aishwarya this time round. The photos used are DVD screenshots from their first movie together, AUR PYAR HO GAYA.

I’ve used Got Sketch‘s Sketch 82 by Valerie Salmon. I’m not too happy with the results. Although I have to point out that my camera made it look bad. I honestly think it looks much prettier than what my camera captured. *shrugs*

I’ve used a medium-sized paper doily to back the photos; but not before giving it a bit of a chalky, orangey shadow around it. I’ve also rubbed a bit of dark blue chalk around the thin alphabet stickers for the word, ‘note’ to enhance it a tad; resulting the letters with a bit of an outline.

Those flowers are by Prima in which I’ve fastened with glitter brads by American Crafts.

Seriously, I’m just not good at using journaling pieces properly. My handwriting sucks. So yes, I know it looks very incomplete and I should have done something more to it, but I was just out of ideas. The big button beside it is actually an unused one I took from my Mum’s sewing kit.

Also that thin orange rope… honestly, is there a simpler and neater trick to stick such stuff? I’d used glue-dots for this one though.

I have used Scrapbooks Etc‘s Sketch 108 for this. Agreed, the whole design would have looked much better with a black/white photo, but I found none in my current stock of photos. And I was just a bit too lazy to use my printer.

I have used a mixture of Prima‘s and Pebbles‘ paper flower layers to create these. I’ve fastened them all with brads by KCK Craft. I also made use with a journaling shape piece by American Crafts.

I used a stencil to cut those circles. Heh! Then as you can detect, I’ve also used a clear stamp for the main title, “Love You”. Those little dots framing the inner circle were done with a pastel orange pen by Uni Mitsubishi Pencil.

Unfortunately as I’ve reasoned again and again, I’ve no records of the brands of most of my ribbons as I purchased them by yards. As for the journaling section below the ribbon, I had contemplated whether to write a short poem or some sort of quote. Eventually, I used a clear stamp and make it out like a border.

Initially I’d wanted to give it a white theme. But I just did not have the right materials. So eventually, I used a cyan-sort of colour which I thought did well too.

This is one of the remaining plastic snowflakes from the Christmas ornament set that I got for myself. I just scrub off most of the fake snow to avoid the messiness. I have also used Sassafras‘ cardstock stickers for those cream-coloured top flag borders.

I have seriously tried to use up all those leftover scraps I have in my stock; blue card strip behind the pictures, white fabric and some remaining white paper for the punches. Just too bad I’m unaware of the ribbon’s brand.

Hell knows how tough it was to get that white string to form a bow. Eventually I resigned to using a glue-dot to stick the string and the button together.

I have used Pencil Line‘s Sketch 97 by Anna Bowkis. I decided to go all creamy and a tad bit desaturated for this one.

Hell knows how inconclusive I was as to the placement of the main title. From left to right and top to bottom. Eventually, it ended up there. And those metal leaves, I honestly regretted not putting my big blue butterfly instead.

I would have gone overboard with these flowers. But luckily I stopped myself. Heh! I just fastened the flower layers with glitter brads by American Crafts.

As for the journaling piece, well that’s another failed attempt at writing cursive. *chuckles* It’s a poem written by Teresa Mahieu, titled, ‘The Beauty Of A Woman‘.

I honestly love my butterfly punch by EkSuccess. It’s just so adorably pretty. And well, I’ve used my small plaster of paris mini frames by Melissa Frances to capitalise the initials of Aishwarya’s name. I’d actually contemplated to include her full (married) name — Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, but meh! I still prefer her maiden name. It sounds so much prettier. *grins*

I’ve used Got Sketch‘s Sketch 84 by Valerie Salmon for this one. I’d decided to give it a whole purple-coloured theme to go along with the perfume bottle. By far this is the only scrapbook page of mine which is literally scented.

I’d simply sewed that button to the thin purple ribbon that I’d made into a bow. It was only after I stick the whole thing with a foam tape did I realised my mistake. It looks unsightly with that white foam sticking out. I should have used a glue-dot. *headdesk*

Then again, I’m rather frustrated in not having to credit all these wonderful ribbons. I got them from shops where they sell it by yards. And I never got the chance to see which brand each of them was from. I’d love to credit them, really.

Like I mentioned earlier, this scrapbook page is by far the only scented page I’ve done, and perhaps will be the only one. That is no ordinary die-cut. The perfume bottle was actually an authentic sample fragrance card I got whilst testing the smell of the perfume at a department store I went last year. I had kept it till now, and the scent is still intact.

And yes, I’ve used a lot of different ribbons of various shades of purple. And honestly speaking, I seriously need to get another set of purple alphabets with a different font; or perhaps not be lazy and cut them out myself using my Cricut.

Probably my most mediocre part on the whole design. I’d written those words using a purple coloured marker. And those hearts were done using a clear stamp in which I’ve used chalk-ink by VersaColor. Gotta say, I love the results of the stamp.

I’ve used Got Sketch‘s Sketch 104 by Valerie Salmon. It’s the first time for me experimenting with crumpled-edged paper; and I personally think it looks good.

The lighter shaded square papers were of remaining scraps I’ve used from my Cricut. And the cross-patterned papers were self-printed by me. The rest of the patterned papers used were of the ones I got in a wholesale. I just used blue-green coloured chalk around the edges.

These D-I-Y flowers are by Prima. I’ve just fastened them together with brads by S.E.I.

Yes, this is the main ‘journal section’. It’s actually amended lyrics from the song ‘In The Morning‘ by Ledisi. I’d simply tinted the paper strips with blue chalk and then edged it out with the same dark blue chalk-ink by Prima. Also another, Prima product used in this shot is the white metal bird cage. I thought it’d go well with the whole ‘morning’ theme. Too bad I don’t have any bird embellishment. Even the title, ‘Subah Ho Gayi‘ translates to ‘It’s already morning,’ in Hindi.

This one is by Prima, a chipboard sticker in which I’ve added a gold sequin in the middle.

I’ve been wanting to use Scrabble letters on one of my pages. But eventually, I realised it seriously didn’t go well with the whole attempted Egyptian feel. I mean… seriously! Oh well… I’m really not impressed with my whole title section for this layout to be honest.

I got these D-I-Y flowers by Prima too. Love these sorts of materials. I simply used metal brads to fasten the different layers. Also, I’ve added in that metal chain tassel underneath it.

That’s aside, I’ve actually printed those journaling section; gave them a touch of yellow chalk and then edged them with bark-coloured chalk ink.

This was actually a rub-on set by BasicGrey. I thought that golden rhinestones would give a wee bit of an Egyptian touch.
